Crunchyroll to Stream Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth Anime

Crunchyroll announced on Thursday that it will stream the television anime adaptation of AQUAPLUS’ Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth (Utawarerumono: Futari no Hakuoro) game in July in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and the Commonwealth of Independent States. The anime premieres in July in Japan.

Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 Game Gets Steam Release

Bandai Namco Entertainment announced on Friday that its Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 2 game will get a release on Steam this year. Bandai Namco Entertainment Southeast Asia is streaming a video for the game’s upcoming network test, which will start on April 15. Bandai Namco Entertainment also announced the release of its Gundam Navi App app for iOS and Android. The app collates Gundam-related news, and also allows users to watch official videos and browse a database for characters, anime, or mobile suits in the franchise.

Live-Action Fullmetal Alchemist Sequel

Warner Bros. Japan began streaming a behind-the-scenes video on Saturday for Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: Kanketsu-hen – Fukushūsha Scar (Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Avenger Scar) and Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: Kanketsu-hen – Saigo no Rensei (Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Last Transmutation), the two upcoming live-action sequel films in the Fullmetal Alchemist franchise. The behind-the-scenes footage focuses on Scar. The video also includes a trailer for the films.

The trailer highlights the 15 main characters in the films.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These Season 3

The official website for Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These, the new anime of Yoshiki Tanaka’s epic science fiction novels Legend of the Galactic Heroes, began streaming a trailer for the third and final part of the anime’s third season on Friday. The season is debuting as features in theaters (similar to previous seasons) under the title Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These Gekitotsu (Clash). The first two features opened on March 4 and April 1, and the third feature will open on May 13. The third season is also running on television for 24 episodes (numbered as episodes 25-48 in the overall series).

Demon Gaze Extra Game Gets PC Release

Clouded Leopard Entertainment announced on Friday that it will release Demon Gaze Extra, the new version of Kadokawa Games and experience inc.’s Demon Gaze game, worldwide on PC via Steam on April 26. The company streamed an announcement trailer. The game launched on January 6 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch after a delay. The release was previously slated for December 9.

Jujutsu Kaisen Gets Lotte, Dolce & Gabbana Collabs

Japan confectionary Lotte is collaborating with the Jujutsu Kaisen anime to release the “Jujutsu Kaisen Gum (Grape).” The packaging for the chewing gum will feature illustrations of Yuji Itadori and other characters from the series, and the wrapping paper for each individual gum can be folded into a special origami. The gum packaging comes in a total of 18 variations, with six different types of wrapping paper. Those who purchase the gum may also chance upon “point tickets” enclosed within the wrapping papers, which can be collected and used to enter lotteries for different prizes. The prizes include an original QUO card worth 500 yen (3-point course, 1000 winners), a sticker holder (5-point course, 1000 winners), and a 17-cm tall Kaiyodo figure of Yuji Itadori (10-point course, 50 winners).

Kaori Yuki Launches Angel Sanctuary: Tokyo Chronos Manga on April 20

Hakusensha announced on Monday that Kaori Yuki will launch a new manga in her Angel Sanctuary (Tenshi Kinryouku) franchise on April 20 in the Hana Yume Ai web manga magazine. The new manga is titled Angel Sanctuary: Tokyo Chronos (Tenshi Kinryouku: Tokyo Chronos). The first chapter will have 64 pages. Yuki posted several preview images of the manga on Twitter on Monday, and stated that while the manga will take place after the story of Angel Sanctuary, the manga is an independent work.
